Academic Summer Session at Chicago Theological Seminary

The Summer Session is an educational opportunity offered each summer through the cooperative work of four seminaries: Chicago Theological Seminary, Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, McCormick Theological Seminary and Wartburg Theological Seminary. The program features intensive courses that last one to two weeks. Offered during the months of June and July, these courses cover a broad range of subjects of particular interest to participating faculty. Recent offerings by CTS faculty have included “Religion in the Movies,” taught by Bo Myung Seo, “Myth and the Canonical Gospels, ” taught by Tat-siong Benny Liew and “Justice-Making Worship,” taught by Scott Haldeman. Classes are open to students enrolled in M.A., M.Div., or D.Min. programs, as well as lay leaders and clergy seeking continuing education. All classes are held at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, 110 East 55th Street.
