Student Advising

Academic Advisor

All Master’s and SAL students benefit from the guidance of two advisors. The Registrar and Director of Studies serves as academic advisor for all M.A. and M.Div. students, working individually with each person to develop a course of study. Recognizing that students come to CTS with other life commitments, including work and family, the Director of Studies finds ways to accommodate a range of busy schedules and to honor diverse academic interests within the framework of each degree program.

Faculty Advisors

Each student is also assigned a faculty advisor who is available, at the student’s initiative, for conversation about academic direction and vocation. CTS is a small school with dedicated professors, who are generous with their time, in and outside of the classroom. All SAL, S.T.M., M.A. II, D.Min. and P.h. D. students develop their courses of study in consultation with their faculty advisor.
