COMMUNITY CHAPEL WITH REV. TIM RHODES   [LIVE STREAMED]

Join us for community worship featuring Rev. Tim Rhodes. Tim Rhodes is a Clown, Clergy and CEO. He performed with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and later taught clowning at colleges and started clown ministries. He is the founding pastor of a new church in Naperville, Illinois. The young church tripled attendance and Tim built a diverse staff of professionals that developed an innovative mission program with a national footprint.

 

AIDS AND VIOLENCE PLAY, “THINGS IN HEAVEN”  [LIVE STREAMED]

This annual worship event is presented and portrayed by students enrolled in Theological and Ethical Perspectives on AIDS and Violence under the leadership and creative direction of Associate Professor, Dr. JoAnne Marie Terrell. A tribute to the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shootings and recently slain trans women, the play tells the fictional story of the murder of Tisha Knight, a trans woman entertainer and activist, and the friends and coworkers at Heaven’s Pulse Nightclub mourning her loss. In addition, the play examines the grief being shared in Heaven itself as a result of the suffering and violence experienced by the main characters.
