CTS recognizes the relevance and impact of one of our most prolific alumni leaders. We understand the ministry and service of Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. as a critical manifestation of our core commitments of justice and mercy for all. CTS will hold a half-day mini-symposium focusing on the ministry and activism methodology of Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr. in the context of his early involvement with the Chicago Breadbasket Movement and his active leadership in US domestic and world politics over five decades.

We intend to provide a foundation for exploration into the methodology of global activism; the political economy of the beloved community; the ethics of international diplomacy and the evolution of the social policy agenda of Rev. Jackson. Presentations will offer the attendees a preview of course topics that offer opportunities for dialogue and research.
